Sparkle and Sass

The Goldstein girls are back! Recently, I had a session with the adorable Ryleigh and Teagan for their family’s holiday card. My favorite part of the shoot--other than their sassy personalities--were the pink glitter polka dotted dresses.

The above photos may have been a result of bribing them with chocolate. They are wise beyond their years…they know how to negotiate just like their mama.

These photos didn’t make the holiday card, but I will share the winning photo once it arrives in my mailbox…it’s too cute!

Ugly Christmas Sweaters

In October, I volunteered for the Red Shoe Council’s inaugural Casino Royale fundraiser, and as luck would have it, this adorable family won a holiday portrait session with yours truly.

I loved that Stephanie had a vision for her Christmas cards. She had the whole family, including the dog Stanley, wear ugly Christmas sweaters. In the words of the great Ted Mosby:

These photos were taken at the University of Tampa near the Henry B. Plant Museum. Apparently, this is a popular location for Christmas card photo shoots because I counted at least six other photographers setting up their shoots. I'll post more photos later. The ones above didn't make the final cut, but I didn't want to spoil the surprise of Stephanie's Christmas card!

I’ll be back at UT for another family session next week. There’s still time to book your family portrait session so contact me today!

The Goldstein Girls

All I can say about the Goldstein girls is they got it from their mama (the ever lovely and entertaining, Christina). Ryleigh and Tegan have so much personality and sass, which is evident in their photos. These girls are going to break lots of hearts.

It was a particularly humid afternoon in Land O’Lakes, Fla., and this shoot involved a lot of bribery via Cheez-Its. We shot these photos outside the Goldsteins’ community clubhouse. Tegan recently turned four, so her shoot involved balloons. And Ryleigh just started kindergarten, so her shoot involved a cute chalkboard that I purchased from Prep Obsessed. I love that store and their Facebook sales. However, if you want this chalkboard, go to Michael’s, pick out some paint and D-I-Y it for half the cost…learned that the hard way!

Christina and I are already planning their next photo shoot for their holiday cards. Here’s hoping the weather is cooler and that there’s plenty of Cheez-Its.
