If you like it then you shoulda put a bow on it

My obsession with Lilly Pulitzer began several years ago. I fell in love with their colorful prints, and first noticed them when they had an alligator print. I have a deep appreciation for the artistic work that goes into making each pattern, and find myself inspired, creatively, when wearing these original designs.

So it should come as no surprise that I had to get Lucy (my beloved fur-sister) a collar to match my outfits. One of my favorite summer 2015 prints is Red Right Return. I love the color palette as much as I love the sailboat design (Sailboats always remind me of my Papa).

Etsy is very dangerous to my wallet. There are so many cute things on there made by talented artists. I highly recommend LillyDuds for dog collars. They are well made and you can purchase an optional detachable bow. Because everything is better with bows.

For this photo shoot, my Daddy and I took Lucy to Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs, Fla. The lighting was perfect in the early evening, and it wasn’t blazing hot so that was a bonus. As usual, we walked away with paws-itively perfect photos of Lucy. It is so hard editing down her photos because she’s so stinkin’ cute in each one…I’m not biased or anything.

If you would like me to photograph your furry family member, book a pet session with me today!

Giving Back

Think about the last time you visited McDonalds for McNuggets, or a McCafe or a McFlurry or any other McYummy treat. You probably saw a little change box that said Ronald McDonald House Charities on it. But do you really know what that is?

I learned about this special charity through my bible study. A few years ago, we began to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House on Davis Island. Here, families from outside the Bay area who have a child receiving medical care at a Tampa hospital can stay at the house for a nominal fee. Breakfast and dinner are prepared by volunteers for house families, a small way to hopefully make this stressful time easier for the families.

On Oct. 3, 2015, the Red Shoe Council is hosting its Casino Royale fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. It will be a fun night of casino games, fancy attire, cocktails and a silent auction.

The Red Shoe Council consists of young and mid-professionals who live and work in the Tampa Bay area. Its goals are to raise community awareness and operating funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. The council hosts and participates in fundraisers for RMH on both sides of the bay, and prepares quarterly meals at the houses.

I’m lending my photography services to the charity to capture all of the fun moments as we raise money for a worthy cause. I’ll also be donating a photography package as part of the silent auction.

If you’re looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night, then get your tickets today. Be sure to say hello… I’ll be the blonde with the big camera, running around at the event.

Michele

The Goldstein Girls

All I can say about the Goldstein girls is they got it from their mama (the ever lovely and entertaining, Christina). Ryleigh and Tegan have so much personality and sass, which is evident in their photos. These girls are going to break lots of hearts.

It was a particularly humid afternoon in Land O’Lakes, Fla., and this shoot involved a lot of bribery via Cheez-Its. We shot these photos outside the Goldsteins’ community clubhouse. Tegan recently turned four, so her shoot involved balloons. And Ryleigh just started kindergarten, so her shoot involved a cute chalkboard that I purchased from Prep Obsessed. I love that store and their Facebook sales. However, if you want this chalkboard, go to Michael’s, pick out some paint and D-I-Y it for half the cost…learned that the hard way!

Christina and I are already planning their next photo shoot for their holiday cards. Here’s hoping the weather is cooler and that there’s plenty of Cheez-Its.

Party On!

Have a milestone birthday approaching? Why not have a photographer there to capture the big event? Krista's 40th birthday celebration was held at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Fla., and it was a total blast. Everyone looked gorgeous, and it was great to capture these #blondeshellbabes having so much fun! The best part was the Alpine cake from Wright's Gourmet House in Tampa, Fla.
